Barry Castagnola
Comedian, actor and writer Barry Castagnola has firmly
established himself as an accomplished comic performer. He has
been performing stand-up in the UK and internationally for over
6 years since blagging his way onto the stage at The Comedy
Store in Los Angeles. His easy-going (yet very physical) style,
mixing personal anecdotes with some sharp topical and political
comment, enthuses audiences at most of the major comedy clubs in
the UK. As well as being a popular compere, Barry regularly
headlines gigs around the country. He has performed in New York,
Ireland, The Melbourne Comedy Festival, Glastonbury and The
Reading Festival. TV stand up includes The Stand Up Show (BBC1)
and Net.Comedy (Carlton)
Barry stormed the 2004 EDINBURGH FESTIVAL with his debut solo
show, inspired by clearing out his childhood bedroom. The
Importance of Not Being Too Earnest gained great critical
acclaim. Below is a selection of quotes from the press about the
show:
'Castagnola has crafted a delightfully enjoyable portrait of
himself as a young man...well constructed...so enjoyable' ****Chorlte
'Such fun... an appealing hour of biographical stand up' The
Guardian - Todays Pick
'Perfect' ***** Three Weeks
'A confident, likeable comic ... it's his self deprecating
bemusement at his own diary entries, overblown song lyrics, home
videos and vintage possessions that holds this show together and
provides the most hilarity' Metro
'A genial performer, he has a gift for self mockery and his
youthful indescretions chime easily with an audience' The
Scotsman 'So confident in the delivery of his material...you've
got to admire his no-frills approach' The Stage
'A hugely talented performer Scotsgay

Christian Reilly
At the age of 15, Christian Reilly joined a band to get laid.
The Salvation Army had different ideas…
As former integral part of the Perrier award-winning show Otis
Lee Crenshaw and the Black Liars, with comic/songster Rich Hall,
Christian's career has taken him around the world three times.
On his way, he received accolades at international festivals and
numerous network TV credits in the USA, Australia, New Zealand
and Britain.
Now a solo stand-up performer and playing all the major comedy
venues in his own right, Christian uses his dynamic guitar and
vocal skills to target histrionic rock bands, musical theatre
and morose indie musicians. He recently wrote and performed for
'That Was Then This Is Now' (BBC Radio 2) as musical counterpart
to Richard Herring and Emma Kennedy, as well as giving his
improvisation skills an outing on Radio 2's 'Jammin'.
Christian's comic songs, improvisations, sharp wit and youthful
energy have delighted audiences wherever he performs. He was
recently interviewed for the British Comedy Awards Magazine, and
will be appearing in Edinburgh in 2006, performing in the
ever-popular 'AAA' at the Pleasance Courtyard.
"His stand-up is witty and heaving with punchlines…will win over
all but the hardest hearts and minds." Chortle
"This genuine, trendy, confident comedian has a natural talent
for risky jokes, song and quips which you can't help laughing
at! If you get the chance to see Reilly live, do so. He is not
to be missed!" Funny.co.uk

Phil Walker
"Comedian Phil Walker continues to evolve in leaps and bounds &
his material is as up to date as tonight’s news."
The Stage.
Phil’s act has taken him to some weird & wonderful places, from
a scout hut in Unset in the Shetland Isles to a porta-cabin on
mount Alice in the Falkland Islands, basically he’ll go anywhere
for a laugh!
This year Phil was proud to entertain over 2000 troops in war
torn Afghanistan as part of the CSE comedy club to which he
describes, "I’ve played to some tough crowds in my time but they
where never armed to the teeth with machine guns before, thank
God they liked me! His act has become a firm favourite with the
armed forces & has seen him touring places as far a field as The
Falkland Islands, Kosovo, Kuwait, Bosnia & Germany, appearing
with such megastars as eighties icons Tony Hadley & Bucks Fizz!
Phil started his career on the tough holiday park circuit then
at the turn of the millennium he decided a change of direction
was needed in order for him to progress, so after an open spot
at the Frog & bucket comedy club in Manchester he turned his
attentions to the Comedy Club scene. Shortly after in 2002 at
the famous Comedy store in Manchester he was voted CityLife
Comedian of the year, Previous winners include
Peter Kay
& Steve Coogan
.As well as regular gigs at the Comedy Store where he was also
part of the successful Men @ work improv nights he can now be
seen at most of the leading Comedy clubs throughout the country
including the Jongleurs Comedy club chain, The Glee, The Last
laugh, The Frog and Bucket, Comedy central, Rawhide & Buzz comedy.
