A
gripping performance of blistering dexterity and infectious rhythms
played on accordion, clarinet, violin and upright bass. Includes songs
and tunes from Romania, Macedonia, Brittany, Malta, Mexico, Scotland,
Italy, Turkey, Finland, Bulgaria as well as some originals.
Braga Tanga are based in Cornwall but draw experience and inspiration
from all over the world. Braga Tanga consists of four well-travelled
and well-seasoned musicians with considerable musical and theatrical
experience. Expect a few original songs from singer and accordionist
Jim Carey, who has created inspirational music for the likes of
Cornwall’s Kneehigh and Miracle Theatre Companies, and Eden Project.
As the evening progresses, the more adventurous of you may be
compelled to take to the floor and take advantage of some instant
instruction in a few basic traditional dance steps. Pete Kubryk-
Townsend on Double bass, Chris Roberts on Violin, Dan Hughes on
clarinet and Jim Carey accordion.
